Frequently Asked Questions

When will my order Ship?

Our shipping season runs from September through May. Most orders are processed and shipped within 24 hours, Monday through Friday.

Shipping to Florida & California: Due to longer transit times and warmer climates, we only ship to these states on Mondays and Tuesdays.

If the destination’s temperature is above 75°F, we may hold your order until the weather is cool enough to safely ship chocolate.

After placing an order online, you’ll receive both an order confirmation and a shipping confirmation email. If you don’t receive your shipping confirmation within 24 hours (excluding weekends), feel free to reach out to us at info@wilmarchocolates.com with your Order # and/or Name, and we’ll be happy to provide a status update.

When will my order be ready for Pickup?

Pickup orders are usually ready within 24 hours, Monday through Saturday. You’ll receive an email notification as soon as your order is prepared and ready for pickup.

If you haven’t received this notification within 24 hours, please reach out to us at info@wilmarchocolates.com for an update.

Orders placed over the weekend (Saturday or Sunday) will be ready for pickup on Monday, following your email notification.

Can I make my own Chocolate Bar?

At Wilmar, we offer our one-of-a-kind Mix It Up! Chocolate Bar experience. You get to create your own custom chocolate bar by choosing your chocolate base, up to four mix-ins, and as many spices as you like.

Once you’ve made your selections, our talented "Bar"istas handcraft your bar right in front of you in our Observation Area. You can watch the whole process, ask questions, and get a behind-the-scenes look at our chocolate kitchen while your bar is made. Each bar takes about 15 minutes to create.

Do you offer tours?

We don’t offer formal tours, but we’d love to welcome your group to our Mix It Up! Bar experience! You’re invited to visit our Observation Area and watch our chocolatiers in action while creating your own custom chocolate bars.

Group visits are available Thursday–Friday from 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and Saturday from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. To learn more or schedule a time, please contact us at info@wilmarchocolates.com.

Are your chocolates fresh / Shelf Life of chocolates?

At Wilmar Chocolates, we handcraft all of our chocolates in small batches to ensure exceptional freshness year-round!

For the best quality, we recommend storing your chocolates in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight (no need to refrigerate!). Our truffles are best enjoyed within 10 days of purchase, while our other chocolate creations will stay fresh for about 3 to 4 months when stored properly.

Since we never use preservatives, we encourage you to savor your chocolates sooner rather than later for the best flavor and texture!

What are your dairy-free options?

We cannot guarantee any of our products to be dairy-free.

Products containing no Milk: Roasted Cashews, Mixed Nuts.

Products containing little amounts of Milk: Dark Almond Bark, Dark Nonpareils, Dark Orange Peel, Dark Raspberry Jelly, 72% Wafers, 85% Discs.

All chocolate products contain levels of dairy.

What are your gluten-free options?

We cannot guarantee any of our products to be gluten-free.

Products containing the least amount of gluten are: Almond Bark, Almond Toffee Squares, Cashew Wilmarvel, Pecan Wilmarvel, Chocolate Covered Cherries, French Mints, Meltaways, Orange Peel, Raspberry Jelly, Wisconsin Butter Toffee, Vanilla Caramels.

Do you offer custom made chocolates such as molded letters and shapes?

Custom molded chocolate is not something we typically offer. If you are looking for molded items on a regular, monthly basis for your business with larger quantities, please feel free to reach out to info@wilmarchocolates.com and we can assist you.
